Summary
Marlow does not collect analytics, telemetry or advertising identifiers. Your notes never leave your machine unless you put the folder in a sync service yourself.
What is processed on your device
The application reads the note folder you select and writes an index under .marlow/. Both stay on your disk. Crash reports are written locally and are only sent if you attach one to a support email.
Licence checks
Pro and Team licences are validated once every fourteen days by sending a licence key and a machine identifier derived from the primary network adapter to licence.marlow.example. The request contains no note content and no file names. A failed check never blocks editing; it only defers Pro features until the next successful one.
Purchases
Payments are handled by a merchant of record, which acts as the data controller for billing details. Marlow receives the licence key, the plan and the email address used at checkout, and nothing else.
Your rights
Because note content is not collected, most requests concern licence records. Write to privacy@marlow.example to access, correct or delete them. Requests are answered within thirty days.

Material changes are announced in the release notes and dated at the top of this page. The previous version stays available on request.
