Terms of Service

1. Licence

A Free licence permits use on any number of machines you personally operate. A Pro licence is per person; a Team licence is per named seat. Licences are not transferable except when a machine is replaced.

2. Subscriptions

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next charge and leaves the current period running. Perpetual licences include twelve months of updates; the version you hold keeps working afterwards.

3. Refunds

Any plan can be refunded within thirty days of purchase, for any reason, by writing to support. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

4. Your content

You own your notes. Marlow claims no licence over them, and cannot read them because they are not transmitted. This section exists mainly to say that the previous sentence is not a marketing claim.

5. Warranty and liability

The software is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to the amount paid in the twelve months before a claim. Marlow is not liable for data loss caused by a sync service, a filesystem or a disk — keep backups.

6. Termination

A licence may be revoked for redistribution of the binary or circumvention of licence checks. Revocation does not affect your ability to read the files.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes go to the court of Utrecht.
